Where has time gone????

Seems like just yesterday summer was just getting ready to start, now summer is over and the school year has begun.

Teresa is loving first grade and already familiar with the new routine. Girl Scouts is starting again this week and looks like another fun year. Let me know if you want any cookies, we will be collecting orders before you know it! Also, I think Teresa is loosing more teeth than she has gained. She is now missing 4 teeth on top and has quite the funny smile. I did ask if we could get a discount when we had her teeth cleaned!

Jack is in preschool 5 days week and is playing t-ball for the first time this fall. He is very excited to be on the Hooks and daddy is his coach. You can definitely tell that he is the youngest on the team, but he can hit the ball. The other day at practice Jack decided it would be more fun to take the dirt from the field and put it in his hat, but the fun did not stop there. He then put the hat on his head!

Bianca is moving all around. She has her own way of crawling and will pull up on things to stand up. She now has 2 teeth on the bottom and 3 on top. So far she has been nice with her new found teeth and not biting.

This fall we are going to hopefully tackle some household projects that have been on the back burner, a new deck and hopefully new counters. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Now I am off for another adventurous day!

Yes, I am crazy...

This weekend we decided to expand our family by getting a puppy. Yes, you may think I am crazy, but I have found a lot of good out of having a puppy. First, her name is Schatzi and she is a German Shepherd/lab mix and is 14 weeks old. The family we adopted her from had already started working with her on housebreaking and simple commands so we were one step ahead.

The biggest adjustment to having a puppy around is having a puppy around. The get into everything just like a baby. This is the up side. If the kids want to keep their toys they have to keep the toys picked up. So, that means the house stays clean and there has been little arguing so far. Also, Schatzi is getting me prepared for all of the things that Bianca will be into in a few months. So the puppy is helping me baby proof the house as well.

So far Schatzi and us are all adjusting great. She is sleeping through the night pretty well and is learning commands. So, while you may think that I am crazy for adding another thing to our crazy lives, Schatzi has made my life easier!

Juggling Schedules

All of a sudden it seems that all of us have gotten extremely busy.  Maybe because it is spring time and more people are getting out and about or maybe it is the rush to fit everything in before people start vacations.  I am trying to figure out the best way to organize 5 peoples schedules and keep my husband in the loop.  I have not found the perfect system yet, but I can see why families go to color coding!

Return to Normal

The tine as flown by and I am now enjoying my last week at home with the munchkins before going back to work.  Bianca is smiling and changing more and more every day.  She is very easy going and unless she is hungry or tired does not fuss.

It is funny how before I went on maternity leave I had all these wonderful ideas of things that I would get done while at home.  You would think after having my third child I would know that it is not possible.  Now here I am with a few more days and one thing off of my list, but about 10 more items added!

One day I will learn that I am not superwomen and can not accomplish everything, until then I am still trying...

Where We Are Today

Everyday it seems that something is changing with the kids. It is so hard to keep everyone up to date on all our adventures so I thought this might be an easier way. We will see how well I do about updating! Keep your fingers crossed.

Every since Bianca entered our lives over 2 weeks ago, time has flown by. Maybe it is the lack of consistent sleep or maybe my life has always gone at lightning speed. and I never noticed.

Now for a little update on the family....Teresa is half way through kindergarten and is a Daisy girl scout and has also started soccer after school one day a week. Jack is all boy and is standing up for himself more and more each day. It does not help that he is almost the same size as Teresa. He is enjoying school and will be going 5 days a week in September. We have started the hard task of trying to get him to stop sucking his thumb. And you thought potty training was hard? Bianca is just over 2 weeks old and is a very easy going baby. Maybe it is because she is our third and we are more comfortable, but she has just slide right into our lives.

I am enjoying the next few months at home with the kids and getting caught up on house stuff. Hopefully I will be able to start the scrapbook I have been meaning to do, but then again we will see!
